Covington Building Project Information

The State of Ohio is offering to give us $13.2 million to help build a modern, state of
the art school for our children and our community. Can we afford not to take it?
This money, along with our local share, will result in a two-story, pre-kindergarten
through 12th grade, climate controlled building.

The square footage of the current three buildings combined is just over 137,000
square feet. The new building will also be just over 137,000 square feet. The new
school, even with air conditioning, is projected to operate at an expense level below
the existing three buildings combined.

In addition to the students benefitting from the new building, the village of
Covington stands to benefit from this project as well. Included in the plan are
improvements to drainage on the east end of Covington, as well as
the deeding of the Middle School to the Covington Area Improvement
Corporation for redevelopment into Independent Senior Housing.
